The aligner trays are custom-made just for you, using smooth, comfortable, and almost invisible plastic. You wear them over your teeth without any metal brackets or wires.
Your clear aligners gently and gradually move your teeth based on the treatment plan designed by Dr. Hunter. Every two weeks, you'll switch to a new set of aligners until you complete your treatment plan at Hunter Family Orthodontics.

Your Invisalign Journey
To start, we'll take photos and X-rays to create a 3D image of your mouth. Then, we'll use these images to make your first set of custom-fitted aligners.
From there, you can begin the process of straightening your teeth. Typically, you'll wear Invisalign aligners for around 9 to 15 months, using approximately 18 to 30 sets during your treatment journey at Hunter Family Orthodontics.
You'll need to wear the aligners for about 22 hours a day, but you can remove them when brushing your teeth and eating.
Depending on your specific needs, you'll switch to several sets of trays throughout your orthodontic treatment, and you'll start to notice changes in just a few months.
Invisalign Benefits
Invisalign aligners are different from traditional braces in several ways. Unlike braces, Invisalign aligners are made of smooth plastic without any metal components that could irritate your mouth.
This means you can enjoy popcorn and peanuts without worrying about restrictions. When it's time to eat or drink anything other than water, you simply remove the aligners.
However, it's important to clean your teeth before putting the aligners back on each time you eat to avoid staining.
Brushing and flossing are much easier with Invisalign since you don't have to navigate around brackets and wires like with traditional braces.
