Why an Orthodontist in The Woodlands? Orthodontist vs. Dentist
All orthodontists are dentists first, but though not every dentist can straighten teeth effectively. Dr. Hunter continued her formal education for 2 or 3 additional years before receiving their specialty certification. As an orthodontist, Dr. Hunter spent years focusing on learning to move teeth safely and efficiently to produce beautiful smiles. This includes what to do, how to plan, and how to execute the appropriate treatment plan.
Why does it matter if you see your Woodlands Orthodontist?
Dentists receive basic orthodontic training which allows them to perform root canals, extract wisdom teeth, and treat young children who do not need to see an orthodontist yet. Specialists receive additional training to give them the skills needed to deal with more complex orthodontic problems.
Seeing a specialist like your Woodlands orthodontist may change your experience in braces by:
- Providing additional treatment options.
- Knowing that you’ll receive the best possible outcome on your treatment plan, especially if you have severe bite problems that need to be addressed.
- Being seen more quickly, as a family dentist will be focused on longer patient cases or emergencies throughout the day.
- Giving you more efficient treatment and visits, because it is the office’s primary area of care.
- Personal experience treating multiple cases that share your unique concerns
You may think it’s easier to have your orthodontic work completed by your dentist. Convenience shouldn’t be a concern, because you will only be stopping by your The Woodlands orthodontic offices every six to eight weeks. We will also work hard to make sure your treatment from Hunter Family Orthodontics fits your budget.
Testimonials from your Woodlands orthodontist patients
My 15-year-old daughter has just started her orthodontic journey with Dr. Hunter. We have had an excellent experience so far. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and informative. Dr. Hunter has taken the time to explain my daughter’s treatment and answers my questions with patience and clarity. Super pleased with our experience with Dr.Hunter and his team!
Dr. Hunter and his staff are top-notch, always kind, and professional. The lovely, welcoming office I did not mind waiting while they were adjusting my daughter’s braces! Braces took a little longer than originally anticipated, but they were very thorough in making sure the braces were not prematurely removed and teeth were aligned perfectly. I highly recommend, will be taking my other child for braces there soon.
My husband, two of my daughters and myself, have been seen by Dr. Ross Hunter and his fabulous staff. Dr. Hunter was so thorough and always spent extra time with us explaining the treatment process. He would answer any questions we had, which left us well informed. Additionally, we always felt so welcomed and cared for in a personal manner by Dr. Hunter and his staff. Our final results are fantastic and we refer him to everyone we know!!
